Table Tennis is a fun sport to learn to play because it challenges the mind and body. It enhances eye-hand coordination, sharpens focus and promotes discipline. It’s energetic and exciting and improves agility and balance. At Newport Beach Table Tennis Club, anyone who would like to learn to play table tennis or who would like to refresh their game can take lessons privately or in groups.
If you take our table tennis group lessons from 5:00 to 6:30 pm on Wednesday, you can also play for $10 extra the Equal Challenge Tournament. The tournament start at 7:00 pm sharp and remember this is the largest and the only table tennis tournament in Town.

Private lessons allow you to learn at your own pace. Whether you are an advanced player who wants to take your game to the next level or a beginning player who wants to work on the basics, you can improve your game with the individually tailored instruction of a private lesson.

RON ARELLANO – TABLE TENNIS INSTRUCTOR
Ron Arellano is a distinguished table tennis player in the Newport Beach community. After training his entire childhood, Ron soon became a representative on the Ecuadorian National Team. He represented the country in numerous global tournaments.
After finishing his professional career, Ron Arellano now uses his 24 years of experience to teach local enthusiasts, beginners, and athletes. With a program covering fundamentals of grip, stance, footwork and swing, students get training fit for any athlete.

EQUAL CHALLENGE TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT MADE TO MEASURE YOUR PROGRESS
The Newport Beach Athletic Club is well know to have the largest table tennis tournament in town, the Equal Challenge® gives beginner players a unique advantage against their more experienced competitors. Our custom points system allows beginners to advance confidently in the sport of table tennis, while at the same time giving seasoned pros the opportunity to flex their skills. This is an excellent and unique method for new students to gauge their aptitude, build confidence and focus on progress.
In order to maximize the playing experience, we have put in place a strict set of guidelines that must be adhered to by all player. Inquire with our team for details.
Fix your schedule, we’ll guarantee you a lot of fun every Wednesday at 6:30PM. Note we suggest to come to this hour so you can warm up and ask us about how the Equal Challenge Tournament works and why so fun to play.
